About CSYS, Inc.

Colorado Springs Youth Sports, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit that oversees the management of the El Pomar Youth Sports Park.

The organization’s mission is to provide first-rate sports facilities and opportunities for youth participation in sports and recreation in the region.

About El Pomar Youth Sports Park

Open for play on June 20, 2000, the park is made up of 18 playing fields covering 58 acres. Park amenities include:

  • Nine baseball/softball fields
  • Eight natural grass soccer/lacrosse fields
  • One championship size artificial turf field
  • Seven Station Batting Cage
  • In-Line Hockey Rink
  • Major Trailhead to Pikes Peak Greenway Trail
  • Concession Area

The park was built through a unique public/private/non-profit partnership and is maintained by the City of Colorado Springs.

Public response to the Youth Sports Park has been spectacular. We have averaged over 105,000 young players a year competing at the spots park since opening. Approximately 250,000 visitors a year come to the park!

Practices and Games

Colorado Springs Little League, West El Paso Baseball, and Cheyenne Mountain Lacrosse play all of their games at El Pomar Youth Sports Park. The park is also a major provider of playing fields for Pride Soccer, Rush Pikes Peak Soccer, Corinthians Soccer, and several high school sports teams. A flag football league is run by I9 Sports.

When youth are not practicing or competing at the park, several adult sports groups, including National Adult Baseball Association, also utilize the facility.

Tournaments/Camps/Clinics

In addition to youth sports practices and games, the park serves as the venue site for several tournaments and youth sports camps. Partnering with Harrison High School, the park also hosted the Colorado State High School Cross-Country Championships 2005-2008.

Venue site for Public and other Charitable Events

The Youth Sports Park has been the location for several public and charitable events including the First Annual Ride to Save a Suicide, The Heart Walk, Colorado Springs Sports Corp’s Lighten Up Colorado, Colorado Springs Sport Corp’s Youth Sports Days, and winter race events for The Road Runners running club.
